Frequently Asked Questions
How do I enroll in classes?
Classes can be purchased on our shop site. Openings go live 3 weeks before the start date. Registration opening dates are posted on the course schedules here. Spots generally fill fast (especially evening and Saturday classes).
I have never taken a pottery class before, can I still enroll?
Yes! Unless otherwise noted (in the title e.g., "ADVANCED-level") our classes are designed for a range of levels from absolute beginner to intermediate potters. Even if you've never touched clay before our classes are for you.
Do you offer children's classes or summer camps?
We are an adult-only studio. We do not teach children's classes or accept them into our courses.
Do you offer "one-time" or single classes or group/team -building classes?
No. We only offer the classes offered on our schedule, which are usually 8-week sessions.
Do you occasionally offer single classes or group/team-building classes?
No. Never.
Do you offer firing services?
We only fire for enrolled students and members. We do not offer outside firing.
How much do classes cost?
From the February--2023 session on, it will be $395 for a basic 8-week class (classes that are less or more than 8-weeks in length are prorated).
What is included with the cost of the class?
Classes include weekly instruction for the duration of the course as well as unlimited access to open-studio hours, use of glazes, and firing services for a pre-determined amount (see course information). You may fire beyond this amount but will be charged for additional firing. Tool kits and clay must be purchased separately.
I have to miss a class (or 2, 3...). Can I do a makeup class?
We do not offer makeup classes. All classes are capped at a certain amount of people, which allows for individual attention. Joining another class as a "makeup" takes away from that class' students learning experiences.
